Who We're Looking For
We are currently looking to hire a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

The hourly pay band for this position is $18.00 - $30.00, this varies depending on experience, education, certifications, and location.Requirements- 6 months and up of veterinary experience in either general practice, shelter, research, or boarding facility is preferred
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment is a plus. Experience working with these tools is even better
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Ability to learn proper animal handling, fear-free training, and restraint
- Ability to learn common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting
- Excellent communication and ability to gain strong organizational skills
