About Franklinton Rising
Franklinton Rising is a Christian Non Profit that seeks to break the cycle of poverty through job training and Christian mentoring of young people in neighborhoods of Columbus. We do several things simultaneously: We teach and train young adults ages 17-24 in life skills and job skills in the construction industry. We talk about our faith in Jesus and walk with our "trainees" who often come from difficult life circumstances. We help our trainee graduates to get hired by great construction companies in Columbus. We rebuild vacant houses or build new houses on infill lots. We improve and beautify the neighborhoods in which we work and serve. We provide affordable housing and seek to combat gentrification which forces people out of their communities of origin. Job Description
A Site Supervisor is responsible for a particular group of trainees on a jobsite in a designated neighborhood.
Responsibilities
The Site Supervisor is responsible for a safe working environment for everyone. You are responsible for the safe construction of the housing project including all construction techniques and procedures. This individual will report to their Neighborhood Director who is on site or nearby daily.
Qualifications
Active member of a local evangelical fellowship.
Construction professional with 2 years experience in construction or related field
Able to manage multiple things at once, including other staff, training and trainees, construction techniques, record keeping, etc.
Able to think and plan ahead so that work does not come to a standstill.
Able to communicate your faith and talk to others about how this impacts your life.
Able to patiently teach and train young people who may know nothing about construction.
