Job DescriptionOur client in Columbus, OH is seeking candidates for a Production Planner. This role will develop production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met and determine material, equipment, and labor requirements. The Production Planner will communicate status and performance reports to plant management and resolve production issues. We are seeking candidates with three or more years of Production Planning experience. Primary DutiesScheduling the plant production based on labor, material and equipment availabilityDaily communication with plant leadership regarding priorities and resourcesVerify bills of materials and routing accuracyExecute procurement of required materialsCommunicating lead-times and expected completion dates to the sales teamOptimizes resource planning operations and monitoring inventory levelsIdentifies and acts on exceptions to demand or production scheduleProvide information to and coordinates with Procurement Team to aid in the schedule for consumption of componentsMaintains open communication with customers, manufacturing and support personnel, and subcontractors to assure manufacturing plans are clearly understood and fulfilledAssists in coordinating engineering changesInterfaces with NMI and schedules pre-customer release development runsMaintains accurate records and documentation for history and audit purposesMaintains updated procedures in support of Quality System RequirementsProvides assistance to Purchasing to determine material usage per part for annual blanket order estimationMinimizes/eliminates obsolete materialParticipates in monthly/annual physical inventoriesQualifications Required3 or more years of Production Planning experience in Automotive, Aerospace or Medical productionBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (strongly preferred but not required)Knowledge of SAP requiredMust be open to 100% onsite work, this position does not offer a remote optionAbility to be flexible with schedule including some weekend work as neededKnowledge of manufacturing plant operationsStrong written and verbal communications skillsMust possess solid analytical skills in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.Strong interpersonal skills requiring the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperationPowerBI experience (preferred but not required)APICS certification (preferred but not required)Salary and BenefitsSalary Range - $70,000 - $75,000Paid time offHealth, dental, vision and life insurance401k
