Machine Operator/Production I
Our client is a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology. We are hiring Machine operator/production workers who will operate or tend machines designed to cut expanded polystyrene blocks according to exacting standards of work order.
Responsibilities
Operate and perform basic troubleshooting of glue and cutting machines
Set up, operate, and perform basic troubleshooting of laminators to include flying
knives, and ensuring that each machine is pre-positioned with purchased material
Follow daily work orders assigned to each lamination crew
Package and load all orders properly and ensure the highest quality of the finished product
Communicate the number of blocks required for a work order to the material handler
Starts cutting machine and adjusts the line speed
Positions block on slabber and feed block into the cutting machine, cutting foam according to correct dimensions and square-ness per work order
Receives and reads work order
Stacks, sorts, and bundles cut material according to the bill of lading instructions
Qualifications
Ability to follow instructions and read production orders
Prior experience operating a forklift preferred
Must pass drug testing and background checking
Production, Construction or Manufacturing experience
Ability to use measuring gauges like tape measures
