The Role
As the Director of Substation Engineering you will lead a diverse team of Substation engineers, designers, and drafters, fostering a positive work culture and providing mentorship. Oversee staff time, expenses, and policies, while also participating in recruiting efforts and coordinating proposal development. Engage in business development activities, manage workload distribution, and collaborate with power sector leadership for cross-disciplinary opportunities. Additionally, you will assist with project management tasks and interface with management at various levels to ensure the achievement of revenue, profitability, and quality performance targets in the Substation Engineering division.

Requirements
- 10+ years' of Substation engineering experience in the electric utility industry.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
- Desired qualifications include a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Demonstrated success in managing Substation design teams.
- Proficiency in business management encompassing P&L oversight, client engagement, proposal creation, staffing decisions, and project execution.
