**GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB**
The Fitness Attendant is responsible for checking in individuals, verifying memberships, registering folks for new memberships, and equipment and safety monitoring. This position is responsible for providing outstanding service to members and program participants to maximize participation, outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Creates a welcoming atmosphere for all.
* Manages front desk responsibilities to including customer service, cleanliness, membership management and equipment maintenance
* Orientation of new members
* Assists tracking participation and outcomes and celebrate success stories
* Attends all staff meetings and training sessions
* Keeps a safe, clean and fun atmosphere for our members and participants
* Inspects and ensure high standards of maintenance, cleanliness and repair of fitness equipment
* Assists with special events
* Adheres to all policies, procedures and guidelines
**JOB REQUIREMENTS** **Education:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
**Experience:**
* Experience in a fitness setting preferred
* Minimum 1 year customer service experience required
**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:**
* Current CPR/AED certification required
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**
* Skills in program development, implementation, marketing and promotion
* Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills with the ability to motivate others
* The ability to work both independently and as a part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity
* Able to attend to detail, work under pressure, and prioritize
* Bilingual a plus
* Proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion
