About the Job

  • Secure and manage project costs, schedule, and the management of project documentation in conformance with company policy, standards, and goals.
  • Manage contract administration, change orders, and submittals.
  • Schedule and facilitate owner and subcontractor progress meetings. Develop and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Leads and manages assigned project to completion, on schedule, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage project budget and financial reporting. Work with accounting to issue monthly pay applications.
  • Work with Field Superintendent assigned to project to assist with field activities as needed.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all major project issues and priorities; prepare and submit monthly project status reports.
  • Maintain all project records and monitor correspondence.
  • Resolve claims for extras and or credits with owner, sub-contractors, and material suppliers.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Enforce site safety protocol.
  • Manage project close out activities.
  • Foster and enhance business relationships with owners, the design team, and subcontractors to ensure future business opportunities.
  • Jobsite travel is required. Visit jobsite for weekly/bi-weekly progress meetings, or as required by the client. Jobsites are primarily in Baltimore City and the surrounding counties, with projects occasionally in Washington DC and Northern Virginia.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as construction project manager with 8+ years of experience
  • Higher Education, Healthcare, and other occupied setting experience is preferred
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with ICRA and OSHA safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
