Job Roles

  • Defines and communicates project scope and objectives, timelines, identifies project milestones, and deliverables.
  • Utilizes project planning platforms to present complex analytical findings in clear business terms to leadership, lay out appropriate options and make recommendations to inform decision-making team
  • Compiles reports and presentations suitable for the executive team, board presentations, and partners is essential as you will influence through storytelling and showcase your understanding of operations, resources, and labor.
  • Communicates efficiently and effectively to relevant team members and third-party vendors regarding risks, goals/visions, tasks to be completed, and all essential information
  • Identifies and addresses potential project barriers, risks, and other obstacles hindering the team from moving forward
  • Develops analytical approaches to answer different questions, address challenges, and provide/present accurate recommendations with a quick turnaround.
  • Defines and implements operational, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards to ensure a positive patient experience
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary management and senior leadership to achieve outcomes according to department and organizational needs
  • Develops process improvement metrics, reports, and changes to existing process documentation
  • Develops detailed work packages, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports to layout the progression and scope of the project
  • Utilizes project planning platforms such as Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet to track and manage projects while maintaining budgets and meeting deadlines
  • Encompasses pragmatic decision-making skills and advanced organizational skills
  • Introduces innovation via automation, IT system refinements, and reducing manual work
  • Provides operational management of centralized patient appointment scheduling, call center functions, and processing specialty referrals to align with the principles of Joint Commission s Primary Care Medical Home, National Committee for Quality Assurance, and Patient Center Medical Home.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations
  • Bachelor s degree required; master s degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience working with business intelligence tools, SQL, and contact center software
  • 5 years of business experience in the delivery of complex health care operations including management consulting and systems integrations.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP) or equivalent preferred
  • Utilizes Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) in support of avoiding recurring mistakes and improving processes
  • Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Requires an active Class C California driver's license, proof of liability insurance at $100,000, on vehicle used. No more than 2 points in past 12 months; No suspensions in last 2 years for moving violations; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 5 years. No license revocation in 7 years
Experience/Specialized Skills (including Language)
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, deal with aggressive timelines, set and communicate expectations to all stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience building effective relationships with stakeholders of all levels (employees, directors, administrators, executives, and all external partners)
  • Background in project management and executing projects successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • High-level proficiency in MS Excel, IT Data Visualization Tools, and other MS Applications
  • High-level proficiency and experience in managing client needs, identifying priorities, and utilizing time management to complete tasks efficiently
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and demonstrates advanced skills in creating reports, analyzing reports, and interpreting the reports at a higher level
  • Proven ability to rationalize problems and use judgment and innovation to define clear and concise solutions.

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
