We look forward to hearing from you!** **We are looking for an Associate Food Service Attendant for the Dietary Department at St. Joseph Hospital Orange.**

Location: Orange CA

Work Schedule: On Call/ Per Diem

Shift: 8-hour, Days (Variable)

**Job Summary:**

Works under close supervision and according to established policies and procedures of the department. Washes and sanitizes dishes, glasses, serving trays, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils by hand, and automatic dish washing machine according to established policies and procedures. Stores all the above in appropriate areas and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. **Essential Functions**

* Performs ware-washing according to established sanitation standards and procedures including: preparing solutions; scraping, rinsing, sorting and stacking dirty items; operating dishwashing machine; inspecting washed items; washing, scouring, and sanitizing items; and returning clean items to proper storage place.

* Works on tray assembly in all positions in a timely, accurate manner. During high volume meal periods, ensures 100% patient tray assembly readiness by stocking and rotating items on tray assembly area.

* Cleans dishroom and kitchen as required according to department sanitation standards.

* Removes garbage from the kitchen as required according to department sanitation standards disposes properly.

**Skills:**

* Knowledge of cleanliness and sanitation standards.

* Good verbal and visual skills to read labels, take and record water temperatures, and measure detergents properly.

* Knowledge of liquid measures.

* Ability to speak, read, and understand for job related duties.

* Customer Service skills.

* Proficient in required competencies upon completion of orientation, as listed on the unit specific competency inventory.
