Information System Security Officer - ( PFO0002UW ) **Your Impact:**

The ISSO will report to the Jacobs Rapid Solutions Security organization and act as a liaison between the IT and Security functions. Under minimal supervision, the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for the development, administration and management of classified information systems and associated security documentation and procedures for both company and customer systems within Jacobs facilities. The ISSO will be responsible for a portfolio of programs spanning Collateral, SCI, and SAP/SAR level programs. The candidate will support information system life cycle activities from rapidly establishing systems to support classified proposals, to scoping systems for new programs and preparing Risk Management Framework packages, to regular maintenance, support and upgrades of systems during program execution, to program close-out and de-certification activities.

* Developing and overseeing operational Information Systems Security implementation policy and guidelines .

* Responsible for maintaining the overall security posture of the systems and accountable for the implementation of the RMF.

* Serve as the principal advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of systems.

* Developing, maintaining, and overseeing the system security program and policies for their assigned area of responsibility.

* Manage and control changes to the system and assessing the security impact of those changes.

* Obtain C&A for ISs under their purview.

* Provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclaves information assurance program.

* Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.

* Propose, coordinate, implement and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

* Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program.

* Provides support for maintaining the appropriate operational IA posture for a system, program or enclave.

* Develop and maintains documentation for C&A in accordance with Government policies.

* Develop and updates the system security plan and provide CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware.

* Assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day-to-day security operations of the system.

* Develop system security policy and ensures compliance.

* Assist in the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.

**Here's What You'll Need:**

**Required**:

* Five (5) or more years of related experience in Information System Security as well as, three (3) to five (5) years in leadership and program management delivering and supporting internal and external customers.

* Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

* DoD 8570 - IAM Level III Certification (CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP, CASP CE).

* Deep understanding of present-day cyber-threats, attacker techniques and behaviors, and effective methods to both detect & repel these threats.

* Sensitivity to relevant multi-national privacy and governmental regulatory requirements.

* Highly motivated and self-directed with a passion for solving complex problems.

* Ability to prioritize based on risk, schedule, and track to deadlines for self and team members.

* Willingness to travel to multiple campuses within the Northern VA, MD, and DC Metro area.

* Ability to cope well with pressure and make sound decisions in uncertain situations.

* Strong people leadership.

* Be a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision; a person who is open to new ideas.

* Experience with security configurations across multiple operating systems in various environments.
