Event Management Washington, District of Columbia Minimum Experience **Mid-level** The successful candidate will have a clear track record of experience supporting the daily operations of multiple concurrent events ranging in size from 50 to 1,000+. You must have experience using project plans and monitoring, maintaining and updating timelines, completion of all deliverables associated with federal meetings and events, and assisting with the development and quality control of deliverables as needed to assure the timely and quality completion of contractually required deliverables.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to actively and independently manage event task and deliverables. You must be an excellent strategic communicator with experience supporting federal event support contracts. You also must be able to contribute to our positive and pro-active culture while working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and high-tempo team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Support multiple concurrent events and contracts

* Monitor and oversee task completion

* Assure quality and timeliness of deliverables

* Support a variety of virtual and onsite meetings, events and conferences

* Draft meeting agendas

* Monitor and update timelines

* Assist process documentation and quality control effort

* Support the event team in executing event support tasks - ranging from database administration and unique applications of virtual event software to making sure that name badges and tent cards are formatted professionally and error free.

* Can easily adapt onsite events and logistics skills to virtual platforms and environments

* Familiar with federal requirements (e.g. 508 compliance and FTR) and will ensure clients are compliant with such regulations

* Support process documentation and other job aides to support GOH event management service delivery

* Consistently communicate with a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy and tact.

Minimum Qualifications:

* This is not an entry level position and you must have at least 4 years of prior experience supporting the federal government in an event coordinator level capacity to apply

* Education/Certifications : Bachelors Degree plus advanced degree and/or certifications (PMP, CMP, and/or CGMP)

* Experience : Must have at least 4 years of event management experience

* Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

* MASTERY of basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills

* Must have advanced proficiency in a variety of virtual event platforms (i.e., Zoom, Teams, Connect, etc.)

* Must have advanced proficiency in a variety of event registration platforms, especially Cvent and Cvent products

* Exceptional communicator with ability to adjust communication style to individual personalities and needs of our customers

* Must be adept in prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced customer-centric environment

* Experience supporting multiple concurrent events of all types and sizes
