Position Overview:

The Facility Manager at Household of Faith FWCI holds a vital role in supervising the maintenance, security, and functionality of our expansive church campuses. This position demands a skilled individual with a deep understanding of facility operations, project management expertise, and a dedicated commitment to establishing a secure and inviting environment for our congregation and community. The Facility Manager will manage a range of tasks related to maintenance, improvement, and operational efficiency. Furthermore, this role necessitates a Christian team player attitude, coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, meticulous attention to details, and adept project coordination aligned with and translating the vision of our Pastor.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  1. Proficient in managing and executing multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  2. Demonstrates a commitment to good craftsmanship and attention to detail in all aspects of facility management.
  3. Capable of recruiting, training, and supervising staff to ensure a high level of team effectiveness
  4. Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
  5. High School Graduate with additional college coursework and specialized training in facility maintenance.
  6. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in facilities management and supervision, preferably within a large institutional or church setting.
  7. Ability to safely lift 50 lbs, ensuring the physical demands of the role can be met.
  8. Capable of working flexible days and hours to accommodate the varied needs of facility management.
  9. Demonstrates excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  10. Possesses knowledge of safety and security protocols, ensuring the well-being of both staff and facility occupants.
  11. Familiarity with building codes and regulations, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
  12. Proven experience in budget management, showcasing financial responsibility and resource optimization.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS


  1. Hires and supervises maintenance crew of at least 2 persons
  2. Schedules opening and closing of all facilities
  3. Manages and performs all work related to the maintenance of all church buildings including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, custodial and security of the ministry.
  4. Supervise contractors and vendors as they relate to maintenance when necessary.
  5. Develops and maintains a relationship with all contractors and vendors ensuring efficient facility operations.
  6. Develops and manages the facility work order system. Assigns tasks to appropriate staff member(s).
  7. Maintains equipment on ministry grounds by closely monitoring equipment and completing necessary testing as required. Also maintains accurate records of all maintenance repairs. Performs repairs as needed.
  8. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any safety or maintenance issues promptly.


GROUNDS & FACILITIES


  1. Supervise all groundskeepers, maintenance staff, and custodial employees within the ministry, ensuring a well-coordinated and efficient team.
  2. Conduct weekly lawn maintenance and landscaping activities to enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the ministry grounds.
  3. Oversee and address the custodial needs of the ministry, including cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures, and other maintenance tasks to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
  4. Ensure that all facilities adhere to building code requirements, implementing necessary measures to guarantee the safety and compliance of ministry spaces.
  5. Establish and implement comprehensive procedures for the proper handling, storage, and safekeeping of all materials, emphasizing efficiency and safety in all organizational processes.
  6. Provide general carpentry services as required on ministry properties, addressing repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the structural integrity of the facilities.
  7. Maintain and regularly review a ministry-wide inventory list, contributing to efficient resource management and facilitating informed decision-making.
  8. Develop, oversee, and potentially assist volunteer teams engaged in ministry maintenance services, including cleaning, painting, and landscaping projects. Facilitate a collaborative and positive environment among volunteers.


MINISTRY SPECIAL EVENTS

  1. Oversees and provides event coordination staff as needed by the Administrator and/or ministry's event coordinator. Ensures proper scheduling of set up and take down for meetings, events, worship, weddings, etc.
