Purchasing & Inventory Control Speclalist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordination with all production departments currently include La Mirada and Houston locations and future east coast to determine material needs
- Purchasing all raw materials for production from Australia HQ, domestic USA suppliers and Taiwan.
- Monitoring current inventory levels and coordinating with production on all material requirements
- Responsible for maintaining and establishing strong vendor relationships
- Continually sources new materials and vendors to ensure Crimsafe maintains a competitive edge
- Continually monitor the open PO report to ensure all order information is accurate and up to date
- Create quotes, purchase orders and ensure all are entered into ERP and processed on a timely basis. Gain approval for all purchase orders from the Production Manager or General Manager. Track all purchase orders until the date they arrive and keep all dates in ERP accurate
- Helps in the negotiating of pricing and terms with vendors
- Working with and updating management on inventory reports and trends. Compare sales history and forecast to production and inventory levels.
- Receive incoming inventory shipments
- Relieve inventory consumed by orders from the system
- Help support Crimsafe s safety program
- All other duties as assigned
