Currently, we are looking for a Sustainability Analyst to join the ArcBest team. The Sustainability Analyst supports the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program at ArcBest. This position collects and monitors sustainability data, prepares data for reporting and provides data and other ESG program information for internal and external requests. The Sustainability Analyst collaborates with the Manager, Sustainability on public disclosures and evaluations, stakeholder engagement projects and developing and advancing sustainability initiatives.
Your contribution may include:
- Work within ArcBest's enterprise sustainability platform to facilitate monitoring, analyzing and reporting of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data for internal and external reporting, communicating progress/milestones, and identifying areas of improvement.
- Monitor, analyze and report on rating platform performance and peer benchmarking.
- Assist with developing responses to ESG surveys, questionnaires, ratings, and rankings, support updates to external platforms and/or reporting agencies, and track requests by topic and frequency.
- Support Manager, Sustainability in projects and communications with third-party consultants, advisory teams, associations, and other ESG partners.
- Contribute to internal and external ESG communications in conjunction with Communications and PR teams, including development of the annual ESG report and website content.
- Collaborate with learning and development team to develop educational materials and training modules related to sustainability and corporate responsibility best practices.
- Support sustainability events such as clean-up projects, recycling, etc.
- Serve on the cross-functional ESG Committee, designed to drive ESG strategy across the organization, maintain accountability, and implement projects that align with the ArcBest ESG roadmap.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
As a
Sustainability Analyst, you will be a member of the
ArcBest Customer Experience team in
Fort Smith, AR. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload.

Experience: Relevant experience with knowledge of ESG business practices, corporate citizenship/responsibility, corporate reporting/data analytics, and sustainable business practices, preferred. Prior experience with logistics, and/or transportation, preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and data reporting platforms.
