Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Inspector will support the company s mission on delivering premier quality product to customers by assisting in the development, implementation, and administration of the division quality program.
What You ll Do
Foster a culture of safety awareness & prioritization.
Ensure that quality standards are met, champion quality ownership of work center.
Enforce all company rules and policies; communicate issues or concerns with leadership.
Supports the day-to-day operation of the Quality Department in executing their duties in support of production.
Conducts spot, in-process, and final inspections.
Complete Non-Conformance Reports for defective products and materials.
Assist in detailed part marking and identification of material in the warehouse (ie, vibropeen, kitting process, tagging).
Perform sample inspections of packaged products to ensure proper preparation before shipments.
Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the division and/or corporate management team.
Required Skill and Experience
Prior experience with the corrective and preventative action process.
Ability to communicate quality alerts to the proper management level(s) in an effective manner.
Assists in document control of procedures, work instructions, forms, and drawings.
Manages the measurement system, gauging and all measuring devices.
Minimum of a year of inspection experience.
Ability to read blueprints/verify dimensional data using various inspection equipment such as calipers, go/no gauges, tape measures, etc.
CMM experience is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Suite and statistical analysis software.
Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently along with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
Education Requirements
Bachelor s degree in a technical field of study and/or an equivalent combination of experience and professional accreditations preferred.
A minimum of a high school diploma.
Previous experience in a quality assurance role with a government supplier and ISO 9001-2015 certified organization highly desired.

Employee safety is a top priority at ASA and assigned workload may involve handling of heavy machinery, tools, and materials and as such we like to be clear and transparent about the physical requirements to perform this role safely.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.
Schedule
The hours for this role are 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
