The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is seeking an entry level technology systems coordinator to work on all aspects of publishing solutions for title management systems across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities include:
Providing administrative support for Klopotek, Editorial Manager, and ProduXion Manager
Producing analytic reports from publication systems, including Personify, Editorial/ProduXion Manager, Atypon, Google, Klopotek, and CEDB/XIS
Developing and automating routine reports in Python and MS Azura
Maintaining relationships with recipients of KBART, ONIX, and other metadata and electronic file exports
Working with staff to develop, refine, and schedule reports
Working with managers on all aspects of data related to publications--input, quality control, export, and technical solutions to metadata problems
The ideal candidate will have:
0-1 year experience (technical publications experience preferred)
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Basic knowledge of Python (or another coding language with willingness to learn Python) and XML
Basic knowledge of MS Azure
Strong researching, problem solving, and conceptual thinking abilities
Experience balancing data-driven decision making with attention to quality and accuracy
Experience working in a collaborative environment
Excellent time management skills and demonstrated success managing multiple priorities
Experience analyzing large volumes of data from analytics tools and multiple databases, and making data-driven decisions to define navigation, product assortment, and increased discoverability
Strong writing and communication skills, including ability to summarize and translate technical information for a non-technical audience
