SUMMARY

Under the joint supervision of the Director of Practice Transformation and the Director of Mobility Learning Design & Practice, the Project Director is responsible for the coordination and delivery of projects within the Practice Transformation portfolio, including Whole Family Approach, Social & Economic Mobility, and Equity efforts. General responsibilities include project management, development and curation of learning resources, and training facilitation. The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter who possesses an eye for detail and commitment to excellence. NCAP highly values innovation, strategic thinking, and creativity. Passion for the mission of Community Action is a must!The starting salary range for this position is $75,000-$80,000, based on experience. This is a full-time, exempt position and eligible for NCAP s competitive benefits package, which includes health insurance, retirement options, and a generous paid leave policy. While this is a remote position, occasional travel is required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support supervisor and Director of Practice Transformation in the creation and management of annual work plans for projects within the Practice Transformation portfolio to ensure objectives are met in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the development & manage the execution of multiple learning dissemination plans, which may include presentations, publications (articles, white papers, etc.), webinars, eCourses, and toolkits.
  • Contribute to the development of robust learning agendas for multiple learning cohorts.
  • Lead the development and implementation of toolkits, publications, and training offerings, including presentations, webinars, and eCourses.
  • Support & collaborate closely with supervisor and other NCAP staff on potential program development and/or policy advocacy for the Community Action Network.
  • Contribute to the organization s fee-for-service efforts by supporting the design and implementation of customized training resources, including presentations, webinars, workshops, eCourses and learning cohorts.
  • Facilitate in-person training sessions and workshops for state, regional, and national partners, as assigned.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of NCAP s online resources, including the organization s website and Community Action Academy, NCAP s online learning platform.
  • Contribute to the creation of a variety of reports for both internal and external audiences.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of NCAP events, including both virtual and in-person events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum four-year Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree in business, public administration, social work, or a related field of study. Master s degree preferred. Experience may be substituted for education requirements.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in managing human service programs or agency; developing and providing project-specific training & technical assistance; project management/reporting; or similar work.
  • Knowledge of financial empowerment, homelessness, place-based development strategies, program integration, toxic stress/trauma and other anti-poverty approaches.
  • Experience providing training, both in-person and virtually.
  • Expertise in the following areas is strongly preferred: adult learning and development, human services delivery practices, organizational development and change dynamics, racial equity, community assessment, strategic planning, and evaluation.
  • Excellent oral, written, and group communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Zoom (virtual meetings) is required.

OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working directly with Community Action Agencies.
  • Working knowledge of learning management systems and/or graphic design software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high ethical standards.
  • Sensitivity to diverse cultures, races, and situations faced by individuals and families with low incomes.
  • Ability to think creatively and proactively contribute to NCAP s goals and objectives.
  • Certified Community Action Professional (CCAP). Will be expected to pursue certification, once eligible, if not already certified.
