Description: Description/Comment: MATERIAL HANDLER POSITION OVERVIEW: The Material Handler is responsible for both supporting and maintaining all aspects of warehouse operations, including, but not limited to, shipping, receiving and warehouse equipment maintenance. The Material Handler is also responsible for controlling the movement and proper storage of material to and from production by item and lot number and coordinating the movement of raw material deliveries and finished goods RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Operate all equipment related to warehouse activities - this includes, but is not limited to, propane gas or electric powered stand-up or sit-down industrial forklifts to push, pull, lift, stack, or move products Complete production material request and pick list forms in an accurate manner and within 90 minutes of receipt of request Distribute and store material (finished good, work in process, raw material) and product within the company specified guidelines Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures related to the operation of the warehouse and the site Adhere to all Catalent site safety policies and procedures Perform required documentation on all Manufacturing Work Orders Complete material transactions (via) JD Edward 9.1 to verify material quantity, expiration date, location, and current status Return materials from production to the proper location before the shift end to allow for accuracy and availability for the next manufacturing campaign Operate stretch wrap machine and secure pallet load to pallet Loading/or unload all trailer loads utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety practices Attach all necessary labels to materials Maintain a clean and safe warehouse by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning floors; removing obstacles from walkways, etc Perform other duties as assigned Operation and functionality of warehouse equipment Appropriate storage of material Accurate accounting of raw material A clean, safe work environment Proper loading and unloading of material Knowledge/Skills Requirements: Ability to operate various types of equipment related to warehouse operations, e.g., electric powered stand-up or sit-down industrial forklifts, pallet jacks, floor scrubbers and turret trucks Ability to follow instructions and procedures (SOPs, Current Good Manufacturing Practices) Familiar with and safe work practices Basic mathematical and reasoning ability Good documentation skills and proficient reading and writing skills Familiar with inventory control systems Decision-making, technical and problem-solving skills Works well in a team environment, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures related to the operation of the warehouse Perform required documentation on all Manufacturing Work Orders Display effective communication skills while adhering to all Catalent site safety policies and procedures Education or Equivalent: High school diploma, prior pharmaceutical or food manufacturing/processing experience preferred 1 - 3 years' experience in a warehouse environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND SAFTEY CONSIDERATIONS OF THE POSITION: Work Schedule: Shifts of 8 or 12 hours in duration Essential Physical Job Tasks: Creating, maintaining, and operating storage and organizational system of warehouse o Receiving shipments, placement of goods on shelves by lifting and carrying or use of work saver equipment Start Time: 12:00 AM Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm Location: 110 1100 Enterprise Drive 13-4268760 Winchester KY 40391 United States Education: dditional Job Details: SHIFT: 6 PM TO 6 AM ROTATING DAYS - Positions are 12-hour days: We run on a rotating calendar which depends on which specific team and employee is on. But they work 2 on 2 off 3 on. CONTRACT TO HIRE POSITION Ideal candidates will have receiving experience and the ability to operate various types of equipment related to warehouse operations, e.g., electric powered stand-up or sit-down industrial forklifts, pallet jacks, floor scrubbers and turret trucks. MIN EDUCTION: High School Degree with 1 to 3 years warehouse experience.
