About the Position
Strategic Capacity Group (SCG) is hiring Project Assistants (PAs) and Project Coordinators (PCs) to assist with and provide support for the functions that ensure the quality, adequacy, and technical feasibility of substantive/knowledge-based products in furtherance of SCG s mission. The PAs/PCs will be in SCG s Department of Knowledge Management (KM), where they will contribute to the administration and implementation of assessment, design, monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes and products for SCG s global portfolio of logistics and capacity building projects. Toward these objectives, the KM PAs/PCs support officers and collaborate with members of other SCG departments/divisions. The KM PAs/PCs report to a KM Senior Program Officer or the Deputy Director of Knowledge Management.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience (all positions)
- Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
- Ability to self-manage, plan, and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish or French.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Stata/SPSS/R, Atlas.ti/NVivo, PowerBi/Tableau, Alchemer/Qualtrics, highly desirable.
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Project Coordinator
- A minimum of two years of full-time work experience supporting project/program implementation, preferably focusing on monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
- A bachelor s degree (master s degree preferred) in social sciences or a related discipline with knowledge of data collection tools and techniques, and a general understanding of monitoring and evaluation.
- Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000 commensurate with experience. SCG offers a competitive benefits package.
Project Assistant
- One year of full-time work experience supporting project/program implementation, preferably working with data and/or indicators.
- A bachelor s degree in social sciences or a related discipline.
- Salary range: $45,000 - $55,000 commensurate with experience. SCG offers a competitive benefits package.
