**Position Summary:**

**Coral Chemical Company**, a subsidiary of Quaker Houghton, has a position opening for an Inventory Management Specialist. This position is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, reporting to plant manager and involves working closely with management, production, and purchasing. Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, or supplies stocked in establishment by performing the following duties. Supports Production on complex issues by performing routine activities associated with material resource planning. Enters data into material resource planning system and coordinates scheduling activities to meet internal and external customer demands.

**Job Accountabilities:**

* Inventory Management: Ensures the accuracy of all inventory transactions and the levels of inventory at all locations. Oversees non-conforming inventory, aged inventory, and consignment inventory and supports toll business inventory. Also supports and works with production and management on further training and improvement issues to our current ERP system on all inventory activities. Establish inventory management techniques to ensure accurate inventory levels resulting in efficiencies and cost reduction.

* Lead in performing physical inventory twice per year at all facilities.

* Monitor daily inventory transactions to ensure accurate inventory

* Develop an understanding of current policies and an understanding of our Aptean/Ross ERP Operating system

* Manage bar coding/scanning utilization;

* Monitor outside warehouse third party transactions;

* Manage cycle counting process

* Manage non-conforming and aged inventory

* Support on all toll business

* Report on monthly consignment inventory

* Investigate and resolve PO discrepancies

* Monitor all inventory receiving activities

* Train production management on our ERP system

* Develop inventory management techniques utilizing ROP (reorder point), safety stock, and lead time analysis

* Develop and manage inventory levels through ABC analysis;

* Support various departments including production, purchasing, planning and QC

* Adjust production schedule as required.

* Determine delivery times and load times for bulk loads; communicate and follow-up with factory and process engineers to resolve timing issues. Ensure export paperwork if forwarded to shipping as required.

* Coordinate product sample draw and shipment of all product samples with plant personnel.

* Work with Quality on Level I and Level II operating system metrics

**Work Environment/EHS Responsibilities:**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and climb or balance.

**Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies:**

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

* 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience with ERP systems, preferably the Aptean /Ross operating system.

* Attention to detail

* Proficient in computer programs and systems for data management

* Strong written and verbal communication skills
