Tasks

Develop and monitor social services programs for the Community Service Area (CSA).

Establish and maintain standards, quality levels, cost-effective, and customer-focused services.

Oversee social services case management activities.

Manage staff activities, ensuring their competencies, and developing/presenting in-services.

Recommend, develop, and implement new programs enhancing services to specialized patient populations and reducing hospital and office visit utilization.

Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction and improved services.

Identify community resources for Kaiser members.

Collaborate with community organizations in developing new programs or enhancing current community services available to Kaiser members.

Develop, implement, and monitor the quality assurance of social services programs and staff.

Identify issues that interfere with service delivery and develop techniques to resolve them.

Collaborate with medical center departments, community agencies, and health plan members on matters related to discharge planning, ensuring services are provided in an integrated fashion.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Requirements

Great Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in medical social work, preferably for a minimum of two (2) years.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW): Must hold a current license as a Clinical Social Worker in California.

Master's Degree in Social Work: From an institution accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.

Driver's License: Valid California driver's license required.

Basic Life Support Certification (BLS): Certification must be maintained.

National Provider Identifier: Required at hire.

Competitive salary range: USD $130,400 $196,900 per year.
