Job Title: Accounting Manager

Job Purpose: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy of financial information and timely completion of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the general ledger and accounts payable/receivable processes.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports to the management team.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial policies, procedures, and laws.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, including analyzing and interpreting financial data.
- Collaborate with the fundraising and program teams to support their needs and ensure accurate tracking of revenue and expenses.
- Manage year-end audit process, including preparing necessary financial statements and schedules.
- Utilize Blackbaud Financial Edge software to manage accounting operations and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management, with experience in a non-profit organization preferred.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and nonprofit accounting.
- Intermediate MS Excel skills, including proficiency in using formulas and pivot tables.
- Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge software is highly desired.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
