**Description**
**JOB DESCRIPTION:**
The Electrical Assembler installs electrical wiring on equipment and assembles components in control panels and cabinets for machines.
* Reads electrical schematic drawings, specifications and work orders to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions; installs components such as wiring, relays, controls and other type of controllers on electrical panels and performs final machine wiring.
* Receives parts kit from inventory; examines parts for defects such as pinholes or chips; positions, aligns, or adjusts electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly; cleanly routes wiring to panel according to diagram.
* Drills and taps holes in specified locations on the machine for mounting control units.
* Attaches breakers, relays, contactors, transformers, insulators, regulator cabinets, condenser units, motor and generator sets, meters, plugging devices, and fuse blocks to mounting holes with bolts and screws.
* Cuts, strips, bends, and forms wire cable, conduit, pipe, and tubing used to connect circuits and subassemblies; solders connections and crimps connectors to wire ends.
* Uses a variety of electrical testing and gauging devices; inspects or tests wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or for operation and records results.
* Troubleshoots problems with assembly of machine by interacting with EAI, supervisor or engineers.
Records labor hours correctly using the Enterprise Resource Planning system.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS:**
High school diploma or equivalent, technical certificate from trade school, more than five years electrical production experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
