Description

Job Title: Loaner Clerk

Summary

Issue loaner cars to service customers quickly and accurately providing excellent customer service.

Essential Duties

  • Greets service customers.
  • Open and close loaner service agreements.
  • Check vehicles for damage at time of issue and return.
  • Process and collect payments from customers for:
  • Damages
  • Unpaid tolls
  • Red light and speeding violations
  • Refers customers who have questions about the work performed, additional maintenance, or repairs etc. to the service advisor or other appropriate individual.
  • Maintains and files rental forms.
  • Back up Service Cashier when needed.
  • Provides clerical assistance to parts and service departments.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Keeps work area neat and clean.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with TSD software a plus.

Language Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
