The Logistics Director will lead a dedicated team, drive innovation in logistics practices, and uphold efficiency in the company s supply chain operations. This role involves strategic planning, performance monitoring, data analysis, and process optimization to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Focus:

  • Lead and mentor a team of approximately 15 logistics professionals, overseeing training and performance.
  • Employ an entrepreneurial mindset to foster continuous improvement and innovation in logistics operations.
  • Cultivate internal and external partnerships to develop and refine operational practices.
  • Design and implement strategies for data collection, analysis, and logistics reporting.
  • Tackle supply chain inefficiencies, strategizing and executing practical solutions to improve lane and vendor performance.
  • Monitor and report on logistics performance, setting and achieving benchmarks and targets.
  • Address supply chain issues by implementing data-driven solutions and showcasing results.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to assess logistics cost implications and streamline cost management.
  • Champion cost-saving initiatives to enhance transportation models and overall operational cost efficiency.
  • Manage the development of process optimizations and project ideation to boost departmental performance.
  • Oversee the generation of critical logistics reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Skill Set:

  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or a closely related field.
  • Background in financial, business, data analysis, or supply chain analysis is highly regarded.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing teams, crafting standard operating procedures, and ensuring effective communication across various organizational departments.
  • Skilled in quantitative reporting, including report development and maintenance.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
