POSITION OVERVIEW: The Workforce Development Manager (WDM), under the supervision of the Executive Director, is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Workforce Development priorities. The WDM provides leadership, ensures accountability, facilitates team integration, implements and monitors a strengths-based approach to supervision, and provides guidance and direction to the Workforce team. The Workforce Development Manager cultivates strategic partnerships with mission-aligned and diverse stakeholders, ensuring efficiency in all Mamatoto Village workforce programming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Management

  • Oversee the development, growth, and implementation of the Mamatoto Village Academy (MVA), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives;
  • Create and curate content for MVA professional development courses, as well as completing CEU applications;
  • Manage the registration and CEU process for PD course participants;
  • Organize and support the logistics for offsite workshops;
  • Assist with the development and editing of workforce training curriculum;
  • Manage the launch and ongoing implementation of the MVA online learning platform;
  • Work with the Executive Director and other program managers to assist with strategic planning, implementation management, and ongoing evaluation of programs and services;
  • Ensures compliance with granting organizations, program sponsors, workforce partnerships, etc;
  • Works in collaboration with the Training and Talent Coordinator for all Mamatoto Village Workforce Training tracks, including selecting training dates, supporting interviews, approving student communication, etc.;
  • Collaborate with workforce team members to address student learning and workforce needs;
  • Identify and manage programmatic risks and assist with maintaining QA/QI processes; and
  • Review proper maintenance of student files and training applications.

People Management

  • Oversee and supervise Workforce team members, including 1:1 s and team meetings;
  • Assist in hiring and overseeing training and orientation of all Workforce program staff members;
  • Conduct performance evaluations for each Workforce program staff member and process grievances; and
  • Complies with and helps maintain the standard organizational policies and procedures described in the MV Employee Handbook.

Community Engagement and Collaboration

  • Support the cultivation, stewardship, and maintenance of alliances and partnerships with community stakeholders to meet the professional development needs of healthcare and other perinatal professionals and
  • As requested, it represents Mamatoto Village's services and interests to grantors and external partners.

Administrative Duties

  • Participate in organization and department meetings as required
  • Monitor and maintain programmatic data

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS TO FOSTER SUCCESS

  • Bachelor s degree in a relevant field and at least 2 4 years of experience in workforce development, adult education, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Experience with online LMS platforms
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to efficiently plan, organize, and execute multiple projects
  • Passion for adult learning, teaching, mentoring, and job skill development
  • Strong familiarity with women s health, human rights, reproductive justice, and/or maternal and infant health content
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop trusting relationships with diverse constituencies and communities
  • Ability to receive and implement constructive feedback
  • Capable of multitasking in a high-paced environment
  • Must communicate professionally and positively with supervisor, stakeholders, and co-workers
  • Absolute professionalism when dealing with others to represent our company in a positive light
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Meet, Slides, etc.)
