Summary

The Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) and Attorney Development Coordinator is an integral part of our client s Attorney Development team. This role will be responsible for serving as the firmwide contact responsible for state bar and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) accreditation and compliance for lawyers admitted to the relevant state bars firmwide, while supporting local office s Training & Career Enhancement (TACE) Committee and TACE staff with all local and firmwide training programs, as well as scheduling each training event on the local office calendar and communicating all new developments to the TACE Committee and the Manager of Attorney Development and Programs. This role will be located in their Washington D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a comprehensive spreadsheet or database to monitor state bar credits for all attorneys firmwide admitted to the local state bar
  • Preparing necessary documentation for application to the local state bar after each CLE activity in order to acquire the proper course accreditation
  • Assisting the Manager of Attorney Development and Programs with all development efforts for lawyers in the office, including practice group support, weekly work reports, unassigned staffing, associate relations initiatives and events, recordkeeping and file maintenance, budget monitoring, bar admission monitoring, orientation, and integration
  • Coordinating all arrangements in the office related to firmwide training events, including announcements, catering and room logistics and requirements, meeting with speakers, and enrollment and handouts
  • Keeping abreast of the firm's Intranet calendar to ensure any training or scheduling conflicts are resolved

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Display the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High School Diploma or an equivalent required, with a Bachelor s degree preferred
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related administration experience

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $72,000 - $80,000 (nonexempt).
