SCI, the leading search firm in the real estate industry, is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to join a leading private equity firm that owns and invests in multifamily real estate nationwide. The company currently owns 23,000+ units and 150+ properties. Portfolio is focused on affordable and workforce housing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and manage portfolio business plans through asset life cycles
- Manage/mentor Asset Managers and Associates
- Review draft & final financial reporting package
- Assess monthly operational performance metrics for the managed portfolio
- Set annual portfolio budget goals; review/approve annual budgets
- Track actual property performance against the initial pro forma; update pro forma annually
- Monitor/review/approve capital planning and spending
- Conduct periodic site visits
- Initiate workouts of troubled properties
- Monitor and manage incident reporting & claims with internal Risk Management team
- Manage real estate tax process
- Maximize owner s waterfall opportunities
- Monitor cash flow, fees and incentives due owner from each property
- Create agenda and lead regularly scheduled PMA meetings
- Ensure effective interface between property management & resident services
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in sourcing, negotiating, and developing relationships with outside vendors in hospitality, short-term rental, or multifamily industries.
- Experience in multifamily operations.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in real estate, finance, and/or banking.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Affordable housing experience a plus.
