Production Manager position will need to have prior manufacturing industry experience for this role.

  • A Production Manager is a supervisor who oversees a company s production processes to ensure they stay within the budget and enhance efficiency.
  • Responsible for consistently finding ways to improve an organization s production processes and structures.
  • The Production Manager will consistently review employees and their equipment items to determine where to make enhancements.
  • Work closely with team members to build strategies to maximize their performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments and team members to set goals for the production team.
  • In charge of scheduling routine maintenance to keep the equipment running effectively and maintaining quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to production staff

2. Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free

3. Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production

4. Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime

5. Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations

6. Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team

7. Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality

8. Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor or Master s Degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, aviation experience a plus in a leadership role
  • Ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and/or warehousing management information systems

COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in the aviation tooling industry a plus.
