SUMMARY

The Masters of Counseling Psychology (MCP) Program Manager works closely with the Program Director to ensure the overall administrative coordination of the MCP program. This involves strategic coordination with Program Chairs and Coordinators for the five different concentrations in Integral Counseling Psychology (ICP), Somatic Psychotherapy (SOM), Drama Therapy (PDT), Expressive Arts Therapy (EXA), & Community Mental Health (CMH). The coordinator will play a key role in the administrative and organizational functions of the MCP Program, working under the supervision of the MCP Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with the MCP Director to coordinate the onboarding of individual supervisors. This includes the collection and tracking of paperwork and payments for supervisors; in coordination with the MCP Field Placement Office and the five MCP Counseling Clinics.
  • Works with the MCP Director on creating the Academic Year calendar and timelines incorporating the interrelated planning processes of the budget, program curriculum development, and the creation of the schedule of MCP core classes.
  • Takes, produces, and distributes minutes at the MCP Chairs meetings.
  • Assists MCP Director in maintaining and disseminating up to date Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), and Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC) information to students, faculty, and Program Chairs in collaboration with the Field Placement Office.
  • Assists MCP Director with annual BBS review and submission of "Program Identification" document that officially shows the BBS how each of the five concentrations of MCP are meeting the BBS educational requirements
  • Trains and supervises student workers and temporary workers in the MCP office.
  • Assists with maintaining and updating the MCP core website pages and linked in group
  • Act as a key liaison between the MCP program and other departments such as Registration, Operations, the Scheduling Team, Admissions department, and MCP Field Placement.
  • Perform additional duties and complete special projects, as required by MCP Director.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of two years of administrative experience and a BA, or equivalent of experience and education.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Sound organizational and interpersonal skills to maintain an efficient program in an independent manner. Office management skills: oral and written communication, word processing, tech savvy.
  • Ability to interact with students, faculty, staff, and the outside community with diplomacy.
  • Ability to operate under pressure and assign priority to work needs coming from a number of individuals.
  • Personal interest in and alignment with CIIS values and vision.
  • Understanding of the graduate academic environment and confidentiality (Preferred)
  • Understanding of the MFT and LPCC licensing process (Preferred

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

This position requires the:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time and the ability to manage repetitive hand/wrist movements while using a computer keyboard and/or the phone
  • Ability to bend, squat, stoop, and occasionally walk up several flights of stairs
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 10lbs, occasionally

WAGES AND BENEFITS

Salary range $32,500--$35,000 (.5 FTE)

  • Working Conditions - Duties are primarily performed at a desk or computer terminal, typically Monday through Friday.
