Overview:

The Business Systems Analyst works on various business systems projects, focusing on identifying opportunities to automate processes and data acquisition. In this role, you will work proactively to assess opportunities within existing system processes to automate and then outline the effort required and work with appropriate team members to drive the various projects forward. You will also work with both internal and external teams to identify opportunities to automate data entry into key systems. Daily activities will focus primarily on defining requirements and potential technical solutions and working with technical resources to ensure the work completed meets the need. You will work as the functional lead as these solutions are explored and implemented.

You will be a part of our Client Service Technology practice and report to the practice lead or designate. This position can be entirely virtual/remote/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US or Canada.

Responsibilities:
  • Review existing system processes (Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft SharePoint, M365, other data sources) to find opportunities to automate a process or automatically acquire data from a known source
  • Work with other team members to determine feasibility of proposed approach
  • Document requirements and work with Project Manager & Team Leader to scope work and incorporate into sprints
  • Work with other teams as required to implement solutions
  • Act as a SME for technical and business teams with respect to proposed solutions
  • Work closely with technical resources to ensure they understand the business needs in their solution design
  • Assist the Practice Leader with user, team and business communications as required
  • Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written and possibly configure functionality
  • Work with users to support business applications, and investigate operational problem/system requirements
  • May assist in configuration, administration, testing and training as needed to support technical and business resources
  • May be responsible for other documentation needed for SDLC requirements
  • Solve user inquiries that arise during day-to-day operation
  • Perform other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organizations Values
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years related experience required including project support.
  • Experience in implementing solutions built on Microsoft Dynamics or Power Platform
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Office Products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint & M365 preferred
  • Formal business analysis training or certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio and Project preferred
  • Experience working on automation or integration projects preferred
  • Knowledge of data organization/management concepts
  • Experience writing system requirements and user stories
