Director of IT Infrastructure

JOB PURPOSE:

The Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for the overall IT infrastructure of the company which deploys a hybrid infrastructure. In conjunction with the Corporate VP, this position will be directly responsible for the planning, organization, development and implementation of technical infrastructure and information security strategies. The position will also be responsible for directing and mentoring technology professionals. This is a hands-on technical role with people-management responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mentor and coach the direct and indirect reports cultivating a culture of self-organization and responsibility and foster continuous learning and technical growth
  • Direct the management and upkeep of all technical infrastructure, including network appliances as well as physical, virtual and cloud platforms.
  • Working with the Corporate VP of IT, develop multi-year technology and IT security road map to that aligns with the organization s growth objectives.
  • Ensure the reliability of the disaster recovery services including system replications, backups and archival
  • Identify, assess, and manage security risks, ensuring the resilience of IT systems and infrastructure across global operations
  • Develop, maintain and test the Disaster Recovery Playbook
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery Planning, Testing and Execution
  • Document, monitor and maintain software/hardware licensing to guarantee license compliance
  • Private tier-III technical support for issues that arise.
  • Lead the development and implementation of security programs, focusing on usable security solutions that support business innovation while mitigating risks
  • Have a track record for delivery in a complex, rapidly changing environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to analyze and understand trends in the technology industry to select solutions or services to meet current and future technology and security demands of the organization
  • Technical knowledge of LAN/WAN design
  • Proficient in hypervisor technologies such as VMWare ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Proficient in Windows Server platforms and related technologies
  • Proficient Microsoft Azure and cloud-based services such as Office 365
  • Possess strong leadership skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills


Education and Work Experience

  • College Degree in Information Technology OR equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in managing IT Infrastructure and Information Security
  • 5 or more years of people management experience (will manage a team of 5-8 employees)
  • Professional certifications such as Microsoft Expert, CMSS and VCDX are desired
