The Strategy and Execution Leader Commercial Banking will play an important role creating leverage for the commercial banking leadership team through information management and content create. The responsibilities include both directed work that will mostly be triggered by a direction from the COS/Head of Commercial Banking as well as leadership work that is self-directed. This position plays a pivotal role in driving both tactical and strategic initiatives and ensuring their successful implementation within the Commercial Bank. Responsibilities encompass a wide array of financial, market, sector, and performance data analysis as well as responsibility for translating that analysis into actionable plans and measuring, and in some cases overseeing, their execution.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Management (50% of time): Lead or support a wide range of tactical and strategic projects from initiation to completion, overseeing timelines, resource allocation, cross-functional collaboration and progress tracking. Proactively identify risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery. Examples could include (i) 1LOD related initiatives and projects, (ii) primary point of contact for internal and external auditors/examiners, compliance (iii) manage the cross-functional relationships (including referral protocols) between the Commercial Bank and other divisions (iv) oversee financial reporting by business unit to ensure accuracy and data integrity, (v) day to day oversight of the Salesforce/nCino project and similar systems/process improvement initiatives, (vi) working with data analytics, develop tools for RMs and Management to assist in market intelligence, relationship management and business development (vii) ownership of the ongoing Business Unit Review process for the Commercial Bank (viii) development and execution of the relationship review process.
  • Strategic/Tactical Analysis (20% of time): Conduct comprehensive analyses at the business unit and sub-business unit level including but not limited to financial performance, sales and other productivity performance, process management/improvement, industry/sector trends, competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities and potential threats. Utilize data-driven insights to support the decision-making processes.
  • Strategy Development (20% of time): Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to formulate strategic plans aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Develop frameworks and models to assess strategic options and prioritize initiatives based on their potential impact and measure performance against the objectives.
  • Execution Planning (10% of time): Translate strategic goals into actionable plans by defining clear objectives, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in throughout the execution process.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) Business related field of study.
  • Experience required: 8+ Years of Commercial and/or Corporate Banking experience, ideally in line of business roles (relationship management, underwriting/portfolio management, capital markets sales/execution).
  • Expertise using Email, Excel, Word, Adobe, Visio, PowerPoint or equivalent presentation software and the interest and ability to learn other similar tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce and nCino is a plus.
