Summary
Under direction of the EHS Supervisor and/or the VP of Operations, the Environmental Health and Safety Intern supports various projects and initiatives within the Environmental Health and Safety Department (EHS)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Provides administrative support to different projects within the EHS Department.
* Gathers and organizes information about incident reports, metrics and injury case
* Collaborates in the development of the safety plan for the shop
* Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with OSHA guidelines
Qualifications: Education and/or Experience
* Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
* Currently a sophomore or later status
General Skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office required. Excellent Excel skills are a plus
* Excellent communication & organizational skills
* High attention to detail
* Self-motivated
* Time management skills: Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks
* Able to work well within a team, as well as work independently on projects
* Available to work full-time in the summer
