Do you crave adventure and want to make a real difference? We're looking for dynamic and motivated people to join our clients Blade Repair Services team! As part of this crew, you'll play a vital role in keeping our North American wind turbine fleet operating safely and efficiently.
What you'll do:
- Be a safety champion follow our protocols and identify hazards to keep everyone safe.
- Become a wind turbine ninja climb towers and access turbines to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Lend a hand lift, carry, and transport tools and materials wherever needed.
- Be a team player assist with setting up and using equipment for blade access.
- Fix it all support repairs on various turbine parts from different manufacturers (GE, Siemens, Vestas, etc.)
- Get things moving help mobilize repair equipment to different sites.
- Master of Blades assist with major component replacements, especially blades.
- Take care of our gear ensure proper storage and maintenance of repair equipment.
- Be adaptable perform additional wind farm tasks and support other teams when needed.
Experienced technicians bring your A-game:
- Know wind turbine blades inside and out construction, inspection, repair (including LPS systems).
- Be a fiberglass guru understand different fiberglass types.
- Have a proven track record of assessing and fixing blade damage.
- Be a multi-brand master experience working on turbines from Siemens, GE, Vestas, Nordex, etc. (bonus points for platform and rigging experience!).
- Speak LEP (Lightning Strike Emergency Repair) fluently.
- Be a composite connoisseur understand materials like epoxy resins, polyurethane fillers, and core materials.
- Keep it accurate complete quality control documents with precision.
- Follow the plan read and understand engineering instructions.
The essentials:
- Be ready to travel (up to 75%) and work at various locations in hot, cold, and unpredictable weather conditions.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Pass a physical fitness test to meet Global Wind Organization standards (future tests required too).
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Be willing to get a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) if needed for equipment mobilization.
