Job Details

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for a variety of responsibilities within the Finance Department and provides dotted line support to the Real Estate & Development team.

Within Finance, this role will be responsible for building and leading a financial planning & analysis capability for The Wills Group. The focus areas of financial planning & analysis include planning/budgeting, management/performance reporting and forecasting/modelling on a Company-wide basis. Additional responsibilities within Finance will include managing monthly/quarterly/annual reporting for both internal and external purposes around banking administration, monthly close (financial and operational data), EVA reporting, same store reporting, market share reporting, debt compliance, board/executive reporting, and audit/income tax return support. On an ad hoc basis, core responsibilities will also include modelling and related support for both acquisitions and debt re-financing. In support of RE&D, this role will include lookback analysis of completed projects in conjunction with The Wills Group s Investment Committee.
How You'll Make an Impact
Play a key leadership role in the Finance organization including improving management reporting, forecast accuracy, quality of business decision support and assisting with business optimization for The Wills Group
Managing the monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external financial reporting processes including those surrounding closing, EVA, OBY market share, debt compliance, board/exec reporting, and lookback analyses
Managing the annual audit and income tax return processes in coordination with other finance team members
Modelling for acquisitions and debt re-finances using both EVA and non-EVA methodologies
Play key role in capital planning and annual budget, including associated presentations and analysis
Partner with the functional leaders on all financial aspects of their business and assist on complex business decisions identifying any financial implications
Develop key KPI s and metrics to better inform business leaders and the company
Manage the Manager of Financial Reporting

What We're Looking For

BA in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance is preferred, MBA or advanced degree a plus.
Seasoned financial analysis and modelling experience.
Strong knowledge of retail real estate and real estate analytics.
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Ability to present to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, as needed.
An understanding of finance (including familiarity with measuring investment returns) and an in-depth knowledge of company financial modelling tools are essential.
A general understanding of real estate analytics and valuation.
An understanding of work breakdown structures and critical path development would be ideal.
Ability to remain informed on regulatory and market conditions and changes that affect The Wills Group assets is critical.
Availability and Travel
This is a hybrid role will require 3 days in office, with the remainder remote; our core operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM EST to 4:30 PM EST.
