POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Intelligence Federal seeks a Paralegal to support a Federal Government Agency. Our ideal candidate is experienced with paralegal methods and procedures, people-focused, a team player, and attentive to our client's needs.
This is a full-time position and eligible for benefits through our company. Intelligence Federal was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in 2024 by the Washington Business Journal.
This is a hybrid position working mostly remotely, and occasionally reporting in person to the agency's office in Washington, DC.
JOB DUTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Support Agency attorneys with discovery and case management
- Conduct research for the preparation of legal opinions
- Perform legal support functions that require discretion and independent judgment regarding laws, precedents, regulations, agency policies, and judicial and administrative proceedings
- Note and correct case file deficiencies (e.g., missing documents and inconsistent material)
- Handle legal administrative matters as requested
SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL - Must be able to obtain and hold a Public Trust Clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
QUALIFICATIONS &
REQUIREMENTS & SELECTION CRITERIA - Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a paralegal
- Knowledge of Paralegal methods, practices, and procedures
- Proficient in litigation discovery software
- Must be able to use Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well within groups handling large volume of work
- Ability to work independently
