Datacenter Technician


Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our Client's rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading data center equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.


Day to Day:

  • Hardware, network, and server deployment, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, decommissioning, and project documentation.
  • Install, configure, and maintain data center hardware and software
  • Perform network installation, including Ethernet and VoIP systems
  • Conduct equipment repair and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Utilize hand tools for maintenance tasks
  • Work with Cisco routers and other networking equipment
  • Conduct fiber splicing and manage fiber optic connections
  • Provide field service support for data center operations
  • Adhere to codes and standards for data center safety


Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of Computer Hardware, including troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • 1+ years of Linux Operating Systems experience, system updates, administration.
  • 1+ years of Computer Networking experience.
  • Proven experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of hardware platforms (e.g. Dell, HP)


Nice to have:

  • Industry-level certification on Server/Network/hardware administration (CompTia, LFCS, RHCSA, LPIC-1, CCNP, CCIE, etc)
  • An Associate s or Bachelor s Degree, or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.
