IT Intern (Summer 2024)

Overview:

The Highlight IT team is looking for a detail-oriented, customer experience focused IT Intern to help support our corporate office. This individual will gain experience working in a corporate IT department, participate in various projects, and help keep our systems running smoothly.

Schedule is flexible around classes and other obligations. This position is full telework with the option to work from our offices in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with IT software and hardware such as laptops, printers, networking equipment, A/V and phone equipment in corporate office setting.
  • Perform user account management activities such as onboarding and offboarding.
  • Assist with testing and configuration of new technologies.
  • Assist with research of unusual issues and new products.
  • Assist with security log review and generating reports.
  • Process improvement contributor.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Familiar with laptop configuration and troubleshooting of Windows 10 OS.
  • Familiar with cloud-based IT infrastructure and applications such as Office 365.
  • Ability to resolve hardware and software issues for a variety of users in person and remotely.
  • Availability at least 15 hours per week to assist in providing IT department coverage.
  • Pursuing degree in information technology or related field.
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and functions is encouraged.
