DRILLING GENERAL FOREMAN JOB DESCRIPTION
Supreme Industries, a Drilling Construction Contractor in Connecticut, seeks a General Foreman to support the company drilling divisions across the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and New England regions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage day to day crew & field operations for assigned projects.
- Coordination and management of labor, equipment, subcontractor and material resources.
- Work seamlessly with safety, drill crews, superintendents, project managers, division manager and company leadership.
- Responsible for managing & enforcing field safety to Supreme s safety program standards. Work with safety leadership and field personnel to continually improve process and procedure. Lead daily safety huddles with assigned crews.
- Coordinating, implementing, and managing construction schedule for assigned projects.
- Establish and maintain a positive culture focused on safety, quality, honesty, and production.
- Travel required based on project locations and requirements.

- Able to demonstrate exceptional standards of positive culture, safety and compliance, quality, attention to detail and production.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and crews throughout the Northeast US territory.
- Strong ability to prioritize work tasks individually and for said crews. Also, strong capability to manage time/resources efficiently and effectively.
- Great communication (verbal and nonverbal) and interpersonal skills to interface with crews, management team, clients and subs.
- Core independent values of trust, integrity and positive culture.
- Works effectively with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook email.
Qualifications/Experience
- Thorough understanding of drilling operations, safety standards, best practices, and fleet.
- Understanding of all aspects of vertical drilling including but not limited to direct embeds, drilled shafts, vibratory caissons, rock drilling, concrete work, crane work/critical picks, temporary and permanent casings, spoil and water management, drill tooling/rigging/equipment, etc. Experience within ROW transmission, substation, or other energy/power related markets is preferred.
- Prior experience in managing at least 2 drill or civil crew.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) for both drilling and concrete foundations
- Understanding of general site construction best practices for a drilling and foundation crew
- Understanding of drilling plans & specifications
- Thorough understanding of local union agreements.
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
