Role: Storage Administrator (CTERA)

Location: Washington, DC

Work Mode: Hybrid



Job Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, operation, administration, and maintenance of storage systems, particularly CTERA Networks Storage Products, for 3-5 years.
  • Management of CTERA Distributed storage systems, including fiber channels, flash memory with high-capacity disk, and converged storage.
  • Troubleshooting SAN systems and TCP/IP & Inter-Networking in Linux and/or Windows environments.
  • Providing technical support to end-users for SAN/NAS-related products, including advanced administration issues.
  • Troubleshooting storage latency and throughput, replication, backups, and archiving workflows.
  • Collaboration with engineering teams to articulate problem scenarios for reproducing issues and filing bugs.
  • Writing and presenting technical information to executive-level audiences, including executive summaries, event timelines, and root cause analysis reports.
  • Expertise in converged storage dealing with on-premises and cloud systems, including NAS/SAN/storage upgrades, provisioning, migrations, security remediation, patching, and maintenance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives and driving efficiency improvement initiatives.
  • Escalating critical issues to internal and/or third-party vendors as appropriate, and communicating status and resolution to the team.
  • Working both independently and in a team environment while making sound decisions.
  • Familiarity with industry tools and different SAN/NAS and Backup Technologies.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow with ITSM/ITIL Processes.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and impacts in a highly technical environment.


Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in storage administration, particularly with CTERA Networks Storage Products.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting SAN systems and TCP/IP & Inter-Networking in Linux and/or Windows environments.
  • Experience providing technical support for SAN/NAS-related products and advanced administration issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate technical issues to executive-level audiences.
  • Knowledge of converged storage systems, NAS/SAN/storage upgrades, provisioning, migrations, security remediation, patching, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with industry tools and ServiceNow with ITSM/ITIL Processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and independently when necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
