Field Service Support Technician


Job Details

The Field Service Support Technician performs a mix of both equipment installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance services at customer locations as well as in-house phone, email, and Remote Assist technical support to customers and Baker Perkins Field Service Technicians. This position must maintain and promote good relationships between Baker Perkins and the customer.


Qualifications:

  • The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers and internal team members on a technical and commercial level.
  • Understanding of electro-mechanical systems, electrical control systems and mechanical systems. Basic understanding of thermal dynamics to support oven applications, preferred.
  • Understanding of cookie, cracker, and confectionary equipment operations (preferred, not required).
  • Ability to write and edit PLC programs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems both at the machine and remotely.


Education and experience:

  • BS Engineering or 2 year Technical School with 3-5 year s related experience in electrical and/or maintenance
  • PLC training and experience
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
  • Position requires up to 50% travel
