Position Overview:

As the Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily function of receiving, loading, and preparing, of vehicles and general cargo, for international shipping.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Required to unload and load trucks and containers, using forklifts and other warehouse material handling equipment.
  • Assist in packing for domestic and international shipping as required for the transportation mode. Be able to box/crate when and as required.
  • Ability to block/brace cargo in ocean containers as required for safe transport.
  • Utilize company warehouse and inventory system for receiving, managing inventory, and shipping.
  • Check incoming shipments against the Delivery Bill /packing list for correctness of piece count, condition, noting any corrections or changes on Delivery Bill, the driver has signed, acknowledging discrepancies and/or damages.
  • Unpacks, checks quantity and condition of incoming materials.
  • Be able to efficiently plan and load ocean containers for transport.


Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Certified forklift operator. Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts, and lift trucks, pallet jacks.
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of material movement and the associated procedural controls.
  • Possible requirements to drive a non-CDL truck for local pick-up, or delivery.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to pre-plan & load-plan containers in advance on loading.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and good housekeeping practices.
  • Skilled in simple carpentry such as block and brace during container loading.
  • Skilled in reading basic tools of measurements, i.e. tape measures.


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with two years experience in a warehousing.
  • Ability to maintain forklift certification.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift / push loads up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, or stand for long periods of time.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
