A Financial Services firm are seeking a Senior Data Architect to play a crucial role in shaping their data strategy and infrastructure. This position involves designing and managing comprehensive data architectures, optimizing storage, integration, and analytics. Additionally, you'll ensure data governance, align with business objectives, and uphold security and compliance standards, influencing key strategic decisions and enhancing data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include gaining a deep understanding of our business operations, collaborating with various teams to identify data-driven opportunities, and providing architectural guidance. You'll contribute to company-wide solutions, oversee data design documents, facilitate a transition to a cloud-native environment, and deliver expert advice on utilizing Microsoft Azure.
You will ideally need:
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Experience/Knowledge:
- Over 6 years of IT experience, with a focus on data engineering, consulting, or architectural roles.
- Minimum of 3 years in a data solutions architecture role.
- Extensive background in data infrastructure, including database management and data warehousing.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data solutions, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- In-depth understanding of data security, cloud-based networking, and governance principles.
- Proven ability to lead major data-centric IT projects and communicate effectively.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Desire for continuous learning and embracing challenges.

- Confident in expressing ideas to varied audiences.
- Personal ownership, accountability, and self-motivation.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform and services.
