Job DescriptionClient: Inter-American Development Bank - Administrative Services Division - ACPOffice Support ContractualTERMS OF REFERENCEBackground on Client:Established in 1959, the Inter-American Development Bank Group ( IDB Group ) is the main source of financing for economic, social and institutional development in Latin America and the Caribbean. It provides loans, grants, guarantees, policy advice and technical assistance to the public and private sectors of its borrowing countries.The contracting of Temporary Help is necessary to support the Records Management Group from the Administrative Services Division in the management of IDB Group Records.Contract objective:Ensure the proper classification, organization, maintenance, protection, access and control of documents and records.Main activities:The selected candidate will:Compile, classify, maintain and manage the files and records both paper and electronic in accordance with the IDB Group s Records Management regulation and guidelines.Update operational information of active and inactive files using the IDB Group Records Management systems: ezShare and ezRecords.Perform actions on physical files e.g. organize, revise, move, scan, purge, and the labeling of such Records.Support the execution of transfer/retrieval to/from the IDB Group Records Center.Contribute to support and training activities.Qualifications:Academic Degree/Level and years of experience: Technical studies or associate degree and two years of professional experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Years of Professional Work Experience: 2 years.Languages: English. Spanish would be asset.Experience performing administrative tasks and working in teams.Physical capability to move records storage boxes weighing approximately from 40 to 60 pounds and to use proper warehouse ladders to lift and remove boxes from elevated shelves.IT Skills: Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point) and Records Management or database systems.Characteristics of the Contract:Contract duration: 4 monthsPlace(s) of work: Ashburn, Virginia and Washington DC.USA
