**Loader / Forklift Operator**
Loader / Forklift Operator must be an experienced and skilled operator capable of working unsupervised.
**Essential Functions:**
* The operator is required to take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and potential falling objects within the work area.
* The operator will start engines, move throttles, switches, levers, and depress pedals to fully operate machine.
* Checks and maintains equipment in good and safe condition.
* Perform tasks maintaining all health, safety and environmental rules and ensure all work is done in a manner which enhances the safety of the work environment.
* Perform pre-shift inspections.
* Identify, report and correct hazards.
* The operator will assist with minor repairs and maintain equipment daily by fueling, greasing, digging out tracks, and servicing equipment, as necessary.
* Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored.
* Practice workplace safety to ensure the safety of fellow employees.
* Able to operate multiple pieces of equipment as trained and required.
* Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all CJMCC employees. Employees will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule.
* Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
**Physical Requirements:**
Climbing into and out of equipment; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, fingers, and feet to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
**Working Conditions:**
Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat and extreme cold temperatures, near moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and to vibration and loud noise. Work may be hazardous.
**Qualifications:**
* Excavator Operator: 3 years (Required)
* Education: High School, GED
