Job Description:

As a Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business opportunities within the food & beverage sector. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Generating New Business: Proactively identify and pursue new business prospects within the food & beverage industry on the West Coast.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with key decision-makers in the food ingredient industry including R&D professionals, scientists, production managers, and purchasing agents throughout the sales cycle.
  • Sales Performance: Demonstrate a proven track record of closing deals and exceeding revenue targets within the designated geographic region.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Provide valuable insights and market analysis to inform strategic decision-making within the food & beverage industry.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in the food & beverage industry (flavors preferred), with a strong background in business development and sales.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business, Marketing, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Location: Reside on the West Coast, with the ability to travel as needed within the region.
