Position
We are currently seeking a dynamic team player to take on the role of Operations Manager within our ever-growing organization. This position is responsible for all operations of our fulfillment center with the objective of maximizing efficiency and accuracy as well as providing day-to-day leadership and team management.
The ideal candidate for this role will embrace our customer-centric focus as it relates to order fulfillment and providing an unparalleled service and on-time delivery experience. Prior experience with developing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and standard operating procedures is essential.
Duties
* Manages daily operations of the warehouse with a focus on on-time delivery, safety, staffing coverage, and team culture
* Cultivates a solutions-driven environment within the warehouse. Proposes, advocates for and implements new ideas supported by data, trend analysis
* Develops warehouse operations process improvements by analyzing workflow, staffing and space requirements, equipment/workstation layout - plans, implements and educates staff about process changes
* Advances/improves warehouse operations systems by constantly refining processes for receiving product, inventory management, and shipping
* Maintains a safe and secure work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
* Performs all aspects of staff management including training, scheduling, annual performance reviews and compensation recommendations, coaching, counseling, and implementing corrective action plans for employees
* Works collaboratively with teams across the organization; cultivates open lines of communication, trust, and transparency to effectively carry out responsibilities
Qualifications
* Minimum of five years prior experience within a warehouse management role with a proven track record of process improvement and change management
* Ability to perform the same work duties as the warehouse personnel and travel/work across two local facilities
* Ability to organize and self-direct, and effectively supervise others
* Must be comfortable working in ambiguous and/or frequently changing conditions
* Superb critical thinking and problem solving skills
* Articulate, engaging and persuasive communication style
* Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet competing demands in a fast-paced environment
Major Pluses
* Prior experience within the ecommerce industry
* Prior experience with paperless inventory management
* Acumatica and/or Microsoft GP software experience
