Human Resources Representative


Job Details

This position is responsible for assisting in developing, implementing, and monitoring Human Resources programs, services, and projects for Cotton Incorporated, a 150-employee global organization, including but not limited to: talent acquisition, employee relations initiatives, problem resolution, performance management, compensation, benefits, training and development, wellness, employee development/coaching, corporate compliance, and organizational policies and procedures.


Core Functions:



Assist with the recruitment process for all exempt and nonexempt staff, student interns, and temporary employees from position approval, formulation, recruitment, to new hire orientation

Assist with the company wellness program including strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing maintenance and evaluation of the program

Assist in the creation, development, and implementation of human resource policies and procedures

Assist with the annual benefits review process from evaluation of existing and potential offerings, to open enrollment implementation

Assist with the management of internal employee communications and intranet changes

Assist with the annual performance review program including creation, design, delivery, and follow through

Maintain compliance with federal and state employment and safety regulations and mandatory postings (EEO-1, OSHA, etc.)

Participate in developing HR departmental goals and objectives

Conduct employee relations counseling and exit interviews

Contribute to the maintenance of electronic and physical HR record-keeping processes

Assist with the compensation program and following procedures regarding annual and merit increases

Develop and maintain business relationships with staff through effective communication and follow-up

Provide counseling for managers regarding a variety of HR topics including conflict resolution, performance management, team building, and organizational development and succession planning

Assist in planning, coordinating, and set-up/tear-down of employee events

Assist in the development and implementation of organizational change initiatives

Evaluate and facilitate terminations and disciplinary actions, investigations, and employee relations decisions for consistency, risk, and accuracy

Facilitate an open-door policy and appropriately direct employee relations issues to the Director of Human Resources

Assist with administration and coordination of documentation for employee changes

Run various reports using HRIS system as needed and upon request

Contribute to new human resources projects and initiatives
