Job Description:

Energy Logistics Management is seeking a highly motivated individual to help expand our Licensed Freight Brokerage out of the Chicago, IL area.


All agents/brokers who apply must have an established shipper/carrier resources and an established book of business.


Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for generating new revenue through establishing connections with shippers

Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure high levels of service and customer satisfaction within the Chicago area

Work closely with the freight brokerage team to move freight

Some travel for sales conferences or meet-ups with our Orlando, FL office

Stay up to date with the industry trends, regulations, and best practices

Monitoring and managing any personnel in the Chicago office


Qualifications:

Proven experience as a freight broker with a focus on working with shippers and customers

Established shipper/customer resources

Book of Business, preferably dry van freight, but open to reefer, flatbed, and other modes

Be okay with traveling to meet with customers or attend conferences

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management software
